Our Enviroment!

!
noone can deny that we are having a massive effect on our climate and the ozone layer, yet nothing seems to be done about it, we may aswell be stabbing ourselfs in the back, as we try and cut back on fossiul fuels and car emmisions we are still building factorys, cars , new roads and producing more CO2. we can all see the effects of climate change in the floods and drouts happening all arround the world, thousands of people have died becuase we are just not taking action. What is Being Done about this??

well lots of have been promised by governments, but the time and commitment to achieve these goals are to long and poor. So all I can say is, a lot of these things have been promised to deal with this more serious than it really is situation.

i heard an apparently respectable scientist on the radio. He was investigating ways to help people with wasting cancers. His project flew to the arctic and everest to do experiments to help. He said he wouldnt fly because he thought it would be hypocritical to his other project which is the save the environment. IF YOU DONT AGREE WITH FLYING WHY DID YOU START THE PROJECT? The wor;d is full of too many people who have double standards people need to choose , but how can they choose between helping peple with cancer and saving a few airmiles?

i fear u r right. we can only count on governments and scientists so much, there comes a time when we as the individual have to say what am i doing to save my home. enviromental awarness is spreading but sadly not quickly enough. washing clothes by hand helps (electricity), carpooling or walking or bike riding, cutting down to one computer and one tv in the home, or nun if ur really serious, stop drinking bottled water ( plastic) and start driniking tap water. If u have bad water, boil it or get a filter. windmills and solar panals are getting federal funding and incentives. pellet stoves as opposed to oil furnaces, these are things we could all be doing now that would make a difference. the question is are we , the individual person willing to do these things to save our planet

Eat me: There are many things being done about it on the governmental levels, corporate levels, and many marketing campaigns to get people to act personally. The best way is to start personally by making sure that everything you buy either adheres to the “cradle to cradle” philosophy or is grown/made/fabricated in a way that doesn’t use fossil fuels and is friendly to it’s ecosystem, and doesnt have to be shipped far to you. Then recycle EVERYTHING you waste.. such as water, human waste, paper, glass.. etc etc. Make sure you conserve electricity, water, and energy. Let your local lawmakers (in England?) know that you support wildlife and environmental concerns.
If you start personally, the idea is that you will also use your influence in whatever business you are in or invest in to change the way industry works. It will be slow, but it will be a lot faster if all of us do it, and start NOW.

Some good places to start are:
www.ewg.org/solutions
www.11thhouraction.com
www.Liveearth.org
www.treehugger.org
www.earthplace.org
www.planetsave.org
Eat me: if you (and we) start with ourselves, then the earth will be healed faster than not. Good luck!

may be to get rid of waste in the world ,is to put it back in the earth ,by useing a live valcano to burn every thing up.but if we dont do some thing now ,it will cost more later on. just a ideal

ok, not to be mean but i’m a really honest person but i am just like you i really do wonder what we are doing. But we are HYPOCRITES.i mean i admit it that i am this time that you are trying to cram this in peoples heads in this post is in a way good but i myself posted one but instead of doing what i usually do i try to get other people aware and sit on my *** instead of doing what i should be doing to help. i do help alot to my standards. and alot of people help but they are the ones who also help polute the world. we are great supporters of technology and that is the thing bringing this little global thing going on.I mean face it you have a cell phone you take either your car for a drive. you buy a watter bottle daily or weekly instead of saving it to refill. and soo much things that one bottle which you threw away could have helped. and FYI. i am not really pointing fingers on YOU. its just my way of writing.its more of an every body but nobody thing. any ways hope you get what i mean.

Maybe you can run your car on vegetable oil.

Also, as a general reply, there is probably a way to fix this. I’m not entirely sure if this is real, but I thought I’d show you…

Search for welding tools run using water

It’s on youtube somewhere…
