I am soo depressed..first of all..it has much to do with living in saudi arabia as a forigner.

There is no law or rights to help children, may be for citizens but definately not for expartriates. All my life, i lived under abusive parents. Did no formal school because dad wanted to save money for retirement. Started working at an age as young as i could, 13. Wanted to run away from family but couldnt, residency laws here are like slaverly. I am tied up to my dad, and dad is tied up to his employer. No self representation. Couldnt even travel outside the county without fathers permission who always abused his immorally powerful position. I come from a third world country so asking your embassy / counslate for help is a joke. They dont want to risk their saudi aid money by taking up human rights support. Anyway I did make plenty money to support myself but it wasnt any fortune or such to save aside but anyhow i survived with my daily expenses. Luck struck a bleak light then family packed up for good back to homeland. I managed to arrange another employment visa to saudi and got my much dreamed escape from abusive family..finally Im free..or may be NOT!! Anyway i could have not survived in homeland as i dont know turd about there..and being third world it a lot more hectic..with diseases, heat, poverty, hunger, god knows whats not!

I am stuck in an awfully desperate situation. The country i come from dont owe me, the land i was born and raise doesnt welcome me. I am good with computers and have worked on medium profile jobs but bearing no formal education and certificates the wages are just rubbish. Employers clearly take advantage of me with slave wages. All my life i chased expenses hand to mouth never been able to save enough for taking any formal education.

I dont know what to do?? Im an alien here..and an alien there..no family, no one to affirm me, just one lonely soul..seeking refuge from one abuse to another..As living in saudi arabia as a forigner there is not a single outlet i can pull support from and obvious discrimination between citizens and expartiates. Different laws apply to both. Yet saudi arabia has become a bone in throat for me..cant live without it..cant live with it…unless i have an escape option to another country with better rights..

I don’t think I’d like to live in Saudi :-)

Any way you can move somewhere with a bit more a a rooted society?
I can’t imagine anyone finding it possible to make an ‘emotionally sustainable’ life somewhere like that..

I’m an a Saudi Arab , and i live in Jeddah/ksa , and i have never found any problems whatsoever until now , i’m 16 . my study in an International school *CIS*
where many foreigners tend to study at. many of my friends seem to feel the same way at the beginning , but they seem to handle it pretty good, they only thing bothering them is the language.. other than that , they’re good to go.
I probably think its because ur a new to this~ give it time~ I’m sure u’ll love it.
