I like what is being sighted. A very creative way to discuss what seems to be important but left unattended. There are always bad apples and i see them everywhere. I also see the cottons at the far corner which are used to clean up the whole bucket including the fruits all day, but when the labor ended, these cottons are discarded and thrown away.
I do hope that somewhere in life, i would personally tend the apples by taking care of the movers, the shakers and the cleaners. Just like what a cotton does.

Interesting thing about what you wrote is that if you give it even the slightest amount of context, the story suddenly explodes with meaning. Just pick a context, Government, Job, Unions, Apple farms, hehehe :-)

That was pretty disturbing. I noticed that all the bad apples were green. So I think Cam should reconsider and be a red apple! ;) Some people have the strangest imaginations!

You see there are two sides of an apple. The inside and the outside, as long as we look after both sides. It will look and be good for some time.

One more thing to add, The outside doesn’t always portay what the inside is like. So it is wise to give it the best environment and conditions to keep it in top condition.
