On march 13 2000 I moved in with my mother to help

her my father had died recently .As i was alone myself we became great friends Moms house was in need of many repairs and as she couldnt see very well didnt know she had mice living in the box springs of her bed so i needed to make some financial investments mom needed a new bed as time went on the house required many updates because of its age the pump went out the well dried up the furnace the carpeting appliances all total we spent over 100000. we had a line of credit with chasebank we of course had insurance on the loan which they gladly charged us for Then on october 15 mom passed away I filed a claim with the appropiate department and thats when life became very interesting they cancelled the policy effective 4 days before her date of death and informed me that her name was removed from the loan which made me responsible for the whole loan balance then chase began foreclosure even though they had said they were working things out with me now im one against goliath the largest bank in the world (im so happy that it wasnt me that died ) Then mom would be going thru all this not sure what to do next?

Hi Newday!

I am sorry to hear about your loss, and the follow-up problems.
It always sucks to be small against giants.
In your shoes I would look for similar cases, and for presidencies (or whatever the term is).

Then I would look for various ways of finding the type of lawyer who is known to engage against the giants.

It doesn’t cost anything to ask. Should somebody believe that there is a chance to win a case, he/she should be willing to accept the matter Pro Bono.

Don’t leave a stone unturned. Write to Oprah, and to other celebrities like her. The chance is slim that any of them will answer, but it is even slimmer if you don’t ask.

So put your case together in a very short but informative text, and present it. Quality counts, but also quantity in this case. Spread it!

File a lein against the house for the cost of the improvements or any money that you personally have into the house(make up something if necessary) that will buy you some time and contact a lawyer, I am sure that one can help you.

I just won a creepy court case against my parents on Tuesday. I wasn’t going to post about it, but I might now so you know you aren’t alone.

I liked these people a lot when I was doing my early research. Basically someone in your area will call you back and discuss what’s going on. My understanding is that if you can’t pay them, they will still advsise you. I met a good lawyer here that I still talk to/email about legal things. I had more than one during that mess though.

Also I just googled “ProBono lawyers foreclosure MI” and got a lot. I highly suggest researching on the web for someone to represent you. There is a lot out there.

Shout me if you need anything, even just moral support.

opps, I should say Tuesday of last week. Anyway, there are a lot of good, affordable people out there that are passionate about what they do. :)

Also call the attorney generals officer and contact your state representative and senator. Have a time line, receipts copies of any letters, policies etc ready for an attorney. Make copies of everything! Be persistent after all its the squeaky wheel that gets the grease.

Thanks for the invite , I am not sure how to help there. Please seek legal advice by a well recommended (by at least 2 to 3 people) lawyer.
