They all rely on belief. That is all any of them are. It’s entierly up to the individual, to come to terms with that fact.

Well, Christmas is a better time with Santa whether he’s real or not. The belief in him makes christmas good, whatever. So belief in God will make the world a better place whether he’s real or not. Keep the faith in your heart.

I think that the bit you do, the bit I do and all of the bits other people do, add up. So the more people that do their bit, are showing by example. That it can and will work.

To answer the orriginal question, yes it’s all about growing up. Remember though, that there is still much beauty in the world. Let’s look and find it.

s.rixo.

I am not qualified to answer that question, I am totally non-religious.

Santa, the tooth fairy even the bogeyman all exist, they are just not what you percieve when you are younger.
As a parent i have played all of these roles (wrapping presents, putting money under pillows and as my wifes nuclear option “wait till your father gets home” hehe)

I have never been GOD and wouldn’t want the responsibility.

From a faith perspective if you believe in GOD then that belief in itself is its own reward, it provides comfort and meaningful direction in your life.

Wether GOD exists is a fundamentally different kettle of fish…

I personnaly believe in some form of ultimate creator and controlling intelligence in the universe (mainly because i have trouble consolidating the current Quantum physics explanation of the actual moment of creation i.e a reversal of the laws of the conservation of energy that allows for the creation of all known things from a total absence of anything, including time itself)

My belief is tainted though by the acts and dogma of organised religeon, this could be defined as mans influence upon the divine and to be honest it makes my flesh crawl. the basic concept of ‘my god is better than your god’ or you are damned because my local priest/vicar/imam etc says you are a blasphemer is complete and absolute hate mongering and has no place in the concept of a loving and benevolent creator.

So does GOD exist… without doubt (even if only in your own heart)
Is GOD happy… I wouldn’t think so, but that’s only my opinion as a grain of sand in this beach of an existence… (wow that last bit was deep hehe)

It was all deep and meaningful and in my humble opinion well written, I like your point of view and would agree.
