Love help: I need help so desparately it stinks. - Help.com

I need help so desparately it stinks.

I am recently divorced with 2 children. I work hard and try to make a living. before divorcing my husban we were separated for 2.5 years. I had a great career and bought a new home. Since the Divorce my ex husband has costed me my career with a great company by lying and dating one of my employees, it became an HR issue and i was let go. Now I am @ a dead end job and have bad credit from a vehicle I bought my ex he decided not to pay for it. I am in financial HELL I tell you. I couldn’t even get financed for a potato chip. My bills are piling and I am barely able to keep up. What do I do, I don’t want to lose my house, my car or my kid’s future education fund.

Stop for a second take a deep breath and regroup. get your resume out there. Use all your contacts a new job until then really pinch your pennies. Okay so you can’t afford the house you love. Too bad. ( not said mean) Now you need to be able to provide for these kids and you need to be able to pay your bills and live comfortable. Time to down size. Who says you can’t sell the house, and get say a double. Now rent out the bottom and have the renter pay the majority of your mortgage. Or, get a town home or a condo that is zero time working on the yard., comes with a pool what ever. Cheaper, smaller maybe a better school district adn more money to pay the other bills. Okay not where you want to go I know. However, it may be where you NEED to go for right now. Look at it in a two steps forward one step back in order to get where you want to be you may have to take a step back. It is not a reflection on you, just a fact of the situation at this time. Be posative about the move. Heck, you may get a job in a different city and the move will be necessary. have you tried looking elsewhere. BTW- no more office romances. It was a difficult time and you were takin advantage of however, have you ever heard the saying never Sh*T in your kitchen!

It is so hard to figure things out when you are feeling overwhelmed! mom4nutt’s ideas are great, chip away at what you can do.

Can you make an appointment at a free credit counselling service? Or even just at your bank, for some advice and talking things over?

Get a good bankrupcy lawyer and have him file for you, that would wipe out
al your bills, and save your house.
