you’re thinking right, everything that has happen and will happen to you already happened to or will happend to veryone else. what I have to say about that is if you can see yourself with this person for the rest of your life with try to work things out, communicate and put everything on the table. if you don’t like something your partner is doing let them know and viseversa if they don’t like something you are doing than change that. Remember we are not put in this world to be pleased but to serve others and in returns others will serve (please) you. what I will really recommend and don’t get offended is try seeking God together, you will see how much things will change, pray together. Remember male will be males and females will be females, thier is nothing else out there so if you think you found the right person stick with and hold on to them because if not someone else will.
