can long distance relationships work?

i’m just starting one with someone who lives 700 miles away. we plan to see each other every now and then, but can we make it work?

700 miles is a drive. I think long distance relationships is one of the trickiest things two people can do together. It depends on the people, the length of total time away from each other, and the number and length of times you manage to spend together. You have to go into long distance relationships with a different outlook than a normal one, and if that might be a problem for one or both of you, than you will likely have problems. It is possible though, but so is roulette.

they can, tend not to, depends on how physical or platonic your relationship is, if its more platonic, mere phone conversations can keep it alive
