I am a Father of 4, who works full time.

I have been employed w/ the same company over 20 years, so I am not lazy. Just a bad at spelling. My wife of 25 years ran off with a friend of mine 2 years ago. Is there any assistance for people like me who live paycheck to paycheck & make more than what the goverment allows for assistance. I live in Colorado & all alone, tired

unfortunately the system is corrupt and doesn’t like to help honest hardworking people. They only help deadbeats who abuse the system and keep popping out kids so they can get more money.

I am not aware of any special assistance but maybe it’s time to start at least dating again. Just also try to live within your means by trying to make a budget for yourself and stick to it. You will be amazed at how much you actually save in a long run. Good luck!!!

Hi there, I really can’t offer assistance as I know nothing about benefits in America (I’m in Edinburgh, Scotland) but I just wanted you to know that I really hope things get better for you soon. You sound like a great dad and obviously care a great deal about your kids.

Good luck in the future and I hope you find help soon.

Regards

Aud

well, i don’t know about Colorado, but there is WIC in Pennsylvania.. which is not a government owned program.. it’s funded through PNC Bank, which i believe is everywhere… they will help you if you have children 5 and under with a certain amount of milk, cheese, juice, cereal and penut butter per month. catholic charities have alot of help to offer, you just have to call them and talk and see if there is any specific thing you could qualify for. also, alot of local churches have food banks once or twice a month, you just have to find out what’s near you and out reach. for food banks, all you have to do is bring a photo id and ssi cards for each of your kids to show them proof of how many people you have living with you and they’ll help you with several bags of non-perishable items that have been donated to them. i hope i’ve helped a little. good luck with everything!!

I worked for a State Welfare department for years and unfortunatly, you probably won’t find any help there….but if you run out of food, there are food bank that can help, and if you need assistance with clothing, you may see if you have a “helping hands” organization that may be able to help. Oh, and the Salvation Army can help out with some bills. You must go to them when they first get the release on thier budget, it goes quick. I hope some of this may help on you financial situation. On your personal situation, let me just say that I know how terrible it feels to be left after years of devotion. Granted it was not perfect devotion, but who is perfect. 17 uears was the length of my marriage when my husband decided he needed better, different, another, however you want to look at it….only time heals that wound….and it will stay tender for years beyond that, but you will be happy again, and you will find someone again, if you want it. Not sure if you are a religious person, but try church….it is a good place to meet friends, and they usually have some sort of singles group that is not just for trying to meet someone to date, but to meet other single people like yourself and have a good time, and to let you know that life is not over! Good luck, I wish you the best.
