Mm, I’ve been going out with my girlfriend for 10 months too. If you want to do a cool alternative to buying an expensive gift (We did it for our 6 month), do promise pieces. It’s when you give each other one thing that the other one has to wear at all times (Or most of the time anyway). Like, she gave me a hairband that she wore, and I wear it on my wrist, and I gave her a ring that my grandpa gave me when I was born that had my name engraved on it.

The idea is that, you look at the item when you miss the other person and it reminds you of them.

Cute idea Charlieee, but a used hairband for a ring that was given to you at birth O_o

Mm, the hairband is green. I love green. It doesn’t matter anyway actually. I couldn’t think of anythinggg else to give her, seeing as, my next choice was like… A power rangers wrist watch. That probably wouldn’t be as cute.

Plus, the ring didn’t fit me anyway. Size 5 or something ridiculous like that.

Oh, and she totally beasted all my gifts before then, and since, has continued to beat them all.

Like when I thought I was all slick, putting a dozen pink roses on her desk during school, before she gets to class, and then going to my class. I get home and there’s a box on my desk with her present in it, which is a gorgeous picture frame with a picture of her ages 1-14 in it, and a 3 page letter.

Like I said.. She’s better at gifts.

Make her dinner.

Rent her favorite movie, make some popcorn and watch it with her.

Artistic? Sketch her, paint her or write her a song.

Does she like the outdoors? Show her a great spot outdoors and have a picnic. Take her to the zoo.

Give her a hand made coupon book for small nice favors. Like doing her dishes when she’s tired or painting her toenails…maybe something naughtier too depending on your age.

Congrats though.

You’re suppose to celebrate every month up to one year and then every year after that. So thats why it is an anniversary!

Its going to be our 10 month in 5 days, and Im making my Boyfriend a homemade card ( ive been working on it for 3 days, its looking really good) lol
I also went to like a billion book stores, to find the first book he ever read as a child, and im going to put an inscription in the front page.

I dont believe you should spend lots (if any) money on presents for these ocassions, unless its the really big ones…when you make something its soo much more meaningful. and she will appreciate it so much more :)

and p.s. the ppl who are asking why you celebrate 1-11 month anniversary’s, It’s nice to have one day in the month to appreciate each other(even though you should every day!) and just to remember how special that person is to you :)

Hey, don’t worry… the recession has hit us hard and your girlfriend should understand that everybody is on a very tight budget nowadays. So, let go of any fancy ideas first and just celebrate your days together. Having reached this far is worth celebrating still, without the trimmings. Be thankful that you guys have each other. Try to plan for your 1st year anniversary, though. You may try to save up and buy her an anniversary ring. I got my girl a james allen diamond anniversary ring for a fair price. Check out their website.
