Love help: My friend moved to Santa Monica. - Help.com

My friend moved to Santa Monica.

The only thing he forgot to do before he left was find a place to live once he got there. So, I know not all hostels and job opportunities are listed online otherwise I would find him help myself. Is anyone down and connected with Santa Monica and can help me direct my derelict friend to a better start? A hostel that he could work at in exchange for living would be perfect (unlikely- I imagine those jobs filling up)

-that is, “my area” not Santa Monica area (probably could not go back to somewhere he already was though- the drive to explain things!)
