Muscular development and dieting…

YES this is probably an obvious question….but for some reason i never find any obvious answers…ive looked all around online!

its obvious u should stay away from the bad fats…but really, as long as u have the protein and stay consistently (maybe extremely) active, can u achieve a well conditioned and defined body?

u will have a pouch or some love handles or something…unless u run a lot or something. but i need to hear from SOMEONE that its ok to eat rice and steak/chicken/corned beef/eggs/salmon/burger(on occasion)…etc. and still have a great body. (not perfect but great shape)

cuz im simply a rice and meat kind of guy.

Yes, you can. Until you hit your 30s; then you must be very careful. Just rice and meat? No vegetables?

By the way, animal fats are ‘bad fats’, excluding salmon and eggs.

Well, egg yolks have “bad fat” in them as well, but they’re also where all of the good for you things in the egg are, so eat them, but try to limit yourself. For example, scrambled eggs, I’ll usually use one whole egg and two egg whites. (The white is only half an egg in mass, so you can use two. Like, if you want a two scrambled eggs, then you’d use one whole egg and two whites.)

Simply put, a calorie is a calorie no matter where you get it from, still you want healthier choice calories. I don’t particularly like rice that much but if I were to choose you should try Quinoa, its 159 calories per serving, 2 Grams of fat, 29 carbs and 6 grams of protein and its protein is the most complete protein of any grain. Whatever you do, if you want to be exact that is, I suggest counting the calories, fat, carbs, and protein you take in. You know eat at least six times a day. Make it small portions but you can eat your “meat and rice” throughout the day or chicken or whatever. Well to maintain whatever weight you desire. Find out the amount of calories it takes to maintain that weight, mixed with how active you are and you can stay fit for life, even after 30, of course it becomes a bit more difficult as you get older but its still easily controlled. Just need the “Willpower” lol
