Look on your birth certificate. If you were born with “10 fingers” and “10 toes” then your answer is yes. Each of your thumbs was counted as a finger.

Yes, your thumbs are just another name for the 1st digits on both of your hands. Or what you could call “fingers”. This is the only distinguishing name given to those digits. Both fingers and toes are called digits, or phalanges, anatomically. Your thumb has an even more distinguishing name, the “thumb”, the others are just fingers and toes. But technically the digits of the hands are fingers (including the thumbs), and the digits of the feet are “toes”.

yes it is, vdzz.Of course it is.it is connected to your hand, Isn’t it?It has joints and bones like a finger doesn’t it?therefore it is a finger!

P.S.:It is connected to the rest of your fingers!Check under the nerve between your index finger and your thumb and you’ll see that there is a bone connected to your index finger’s joint.

Contrary to beliefs, the thumb has three joints, what confuses people is the fact that the joint is almost at your wrist, so people don’t notice. The thumb is a finger, as someone said, it’s on your certificate. Only argument people have to saying it isn’t is that it has two joints, which is actually does have three.

^_^

TL;DR Version:
Yes, thumb has 3 joints too.

the thumb has three joints one is just covered by the skin on your hand and you can control that joint unlike the extra joint on the rest of your fingers so technically the thumb has three joints like the rest of your fingers

yes and no. your fingers have three digits and your thumb has two making it more agile…BUT…it’s actually up to the person to decide!
