How to u set the proxy server for Firefox (using wireless laptop)?
My wireless laptop connection is ok but when i click Firefox, it shows something like this:
The proxy server is refusing connections
Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.
* Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct.
* Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working.
i know how to check it from Tools->Options->General tab-> Connection Settings. The “Manaual proxy configuration is marked and HTTP Proxy, Port, SSL proxy, FTP proxy, Gopher proxy, Socks host and the No Proxy for: have a set of numbers entered by my company’s IT guy. I use a cable to go online in my office. But when i leave the office, i can’t use wireless to surft! My IT Dept claims tat they didn’t do anything to change my wireless setting(my company does not provide any wireless connection). So it is none of their business! Now my question is tat how do i set the proxy server correctly once it auto detected and is connected at home?
