How does a shipping broker work?
I’m currently in a monetary transaction with a man from the UK and I am supposed to hand a certain amount of cash over to his broker.

hm. do you have contact info for the broker?
never been in this situation myself.
Yes. Am I just supposed to write him a check or something.
And then just mail it to the broker.
I would think so, either check or money order/cashier’s check. Maybe you can make a bank transfer.
You could always just call the broker and tell them you’re not too sure how to proceed.
Thats a good idea. I’ve got his number. Thanks.
Never would of thought of that…
is it a broker or a brokerage? like a firm?
A broker.
Its complicated…give me a sec and I’ll type it.
The UK guy has a contact in the states that owes him money. The in-debt contact will make a cashiers check out to me for the full amount of money he owes. I’ll withdraw my share and then forward the rest to his broker who will oversee that it gets back to him.
Well thanks again for your help. Its much appreciated.
See you around. I’m gonna go eat.
ok man, enjoy - i’m finishing up here at the office. i’ll be around later.
