So, some of you may know I’ve been feeling a little glum lately.

So my Mommy did the sweetest bestest thing ever for me and got me a pet parrot!! She’s a 6 month old Alexandrine parrot/parakeet. I love her so much, she’s my little baby. I’ve named her PRINCESS Tallulah Ruby-Rainbow Amy *insert my surname here*, or Lulu for short.

I have to pay my mom back when I have a job and some cash, because she’s all mine, but still it’s cheered me up no end. She’s still a baby and wont mature till she’s 2 or 3 so she’s still tiny and very shy, but I’m planning on training her up big time. They are good talkers - Alexandrine parrots, so she’s gonna have a great vocab when I’m done with her hehe. Ahhhhh I love my baby!!! She’s gorge!

fuuck thats random sarah, this morning when i got to work i found a nest with two tiny as baby birds in it and ive been up and down all bloody day ramming raw meat down their throats every 10 minutes.

Yay Sarah! That really is sweet! I know you’ll take great care of your baby! :) What a wonderful gift. I think there is nothing quite like having a true companion you can really count on for happiness. Oh and I love the name too! :D

I remember watching a documentary film that took place not so far from me called, “The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill” where a man takes on the responsibility and cares for a large group of wild parrots. He forms bonds with some of the unique personalities in the group.

congrats. my neighbor has a parrot, he’s pretty old by now but i know they live a long time. they tought him to say “im a green chicken”. its hilarious !!
