well, being 13, and if this is your first period, talk to your mom, moms offer great help. I need a more specific topic, like, “which should i wear: pads or use tampons?”

Your mother or a close, older female relative is probably your best bet. If you have any specific questions you can ask them here and there may be someone who can help.

Definitely ask your mom. Start with pads and then progress to tamps. If you have pain try over the counter Motrin, but I use 2 pills of over the counter Aleve. Congrats! It’s a good thing.

Try and avoid caffeine when you are on your period/or expecting it, it will help with cramps. Try to always carry a pad or tampon with you in you purse, that way if you get your period unexpectedly you won’t have to stress about it. Keep track of your periods, they have websites like mymonthlycycle.com that can help you do that, that way you will know if they are regular or not. Oh yeah and do talk to your mom about it. I know it can be embarrassing but she is going to find out one way or another and she has been in your position before to.
