Getting gay/lesbian/bisexual books.

I am 13 and a girl. I’m not gay or at least I haven’t thought about it at all and I don’t have feelings for other girls, but anyway. I want to read some books with gay people in it. Just for some variety you know? Well, my mom fails to get that. I asked her if she could buy a book of the internet…. Long story short I had an hour and a half long chat about “Are you sure you’re not gay?” So any places where I can get some gay books?

I live in Vancouver. The library doesn’t have any or at least I haven’t found any and it is the same for most book stores.

Do you know any book stores, places over the internet any place that I could get theese without my mom knowing?
(I can always live without, but I love reading and I am getting a little board with all theese straight relationships.)

Anonymous, there is a whole gay district in Vancouver (Canada) which I am sure you could get to by public transport. They may even have a gay center in your town that has a group for teens, sometimes even questioning teens. If you live in Vancouver, Washington or elsewhere I would suggest you just get to a big bookstore and read in the store. Usually those big companies don’t kick people out for reading in the store….especially if they have a coffee shop.
http://www.alsoyouth.org/ this is one such group in a town I used to live. Perhaps they know of groups near you or could send you information.
