Never Winter Nights, definitely! And NWN 2 of course.. The great thing is that the while the official game is great, many of the modules users have created are even better. You can find just about any kind of module that you like for NWN and I bet there will be hundreds available for NWN 2 in a few months.
And try Arcanum, it’s a really great game even if it’s been around for a while now. It’s the only RPG I know that has both technology and magic and actually makes it fun. Imagine a steam train, but you cannot go on it if you are too mighty a wizard because technology doesn’t work around too much magic - and vice versa. It’s also great that you can fully customize your character, no restricting classes or alignments although you do get an alignment from your actions. And you have to do quests to become really really good at a skill. Plus, it’s almost entirely non-linear, with free movement from the start.

yer you said it i must of been playing nwn for about 5 years on and off its pretty good mind you i have not had changed to play nwn2 yet but cant wait tho

Dcvil may cry 3 special edition and Devil may cry 4 are the closest games to PoP in my opinion
