I have a math question.

I have to do similar Figures. I don’t understand how. here is an example problem.

An isosceles triangle has a base of 12 cm and legs measuring 18 cm HOw wide is the base of a similar triangle with legs measuring 22 cm?

I’m not asking for you to do the problem I just need help understanding.

make algebra out of it.

w/22 = 12/18
multiply both sides by 22 and you have

w = 22*12/18
