Install a home alarm system.
Why would you think such things in the first place?
don’t worry about it. the chances of that happening are very slim.

I have an alarm system by ADT! I don’t know why I think this way I just do!

Thank you! I know that I just can’t stop thinking about it sometimes!
Do you live in a bad part of town or one that’s had a history of break-ins?

I live in Las Vegas! Not really a bad neighborhood but no neighborhood is good here anymore!

It’s good to know that I am not alone! Thanks!
have you noticed that you have any other paranoid thoughts? this is a sign of ocd. obsessive compulsive disorder..
“Just because you’re paranoid, don’t mean they’re not after you.”

only sometimes but thts usually when I watch CSI or Law and Order or something like tht right before bed!

wat does tht mean?
my daughter has ocd.. obsessive compulsive disorder.. meaning that little things bug you really badly.. my daughter has to count… no matter how many times she walks up and down a set of stairs.. she has to count them.. and if she forgot too.. she restarts so that she can count them.. just one sign.. another.. there are people who have to constantly wash their hands.. over and over..
ocd are thoughts that are almost a control over your life…
i personally have ocd.. but have never been classified from a dr. i have this thing in which.. when i have money in my purse… i have to keep opening it over and over as i walk through a store to make sure its there… because im afraid that i might lose it…
Things like that pretty much only happen in horror movies or Law and Order. I had the same paranoia after I saw an episode of law and order one time, but I woke up the next day and..Ta-Da!! I wasn’t murdered. I’m assuming that you live in a safe neighborhood, and that no one is angry at your family-If that is the case, I think you’ll be safe. (:

Just a song lyric. Thought it might apply here ;)

that is a weird song and doesn;t help at all!!!!!
there are people who think the way that you do.. and are always checking to make sure their windows and doors are locked.. over and over before they go to sleep… this is another sign of ocd…
there is medication for it.. as my daughter was on some… however.. it made her go from one child to about 10 all rolled up into one.. the energy she had was outrageous.. and neither myself or her could handle it.. so i weened her off from it..

Everyonce in a while no matter where I am I ask myself or whoever I’m w/ if the door is locked but not all the time! I don’t wash my hands cept before eating and befoer bed and when I wake up in the morning! Sound like ocd?
I don’t think having one little fear should have you getting medication for ocd. You just need some reassurance. You could set booby traps every night in front of every door and window…

well I have a two story house and my room is on the second floor and I have four dogs so I know I’m ok I just freak out about it sometimes! I can’t set booby traps by my doors cuz my da=ogs walk in and out all night! Good idea though!
Or you could keep a phone by your bed just to know you can call 911 if an emergency arises. And put bells on the door, but I think ADT works well too. lol

ocd is different for every one.. like my daughter doesnt wash her hands excesivly like some ocd people do.. everyone can be different… but.. it would be best if you talked to a dr about it… they can determine better… sit back and think… are there things in which you do over and over until you feel inside that you did it just right??

not really!
maybe google ocd or obsessive compulsive disorder and see if they tell you different signs and symptoms… then maybe you can go down a checklist and see if you compare or not..
It’s not going to happen to you, and if it does you won’t be prepared for it until that exact moment, so believe that it wont happen.
When you believe it wont happen and then act that way, the universe has a way of making it so.
So chill. ;)
why are you afraid? i think you need to figure out what caused this fear first, but then it’s also normal to be afraid. Just get an alarm system and sleep with a bat or gun under your bed or something. I’m not going to tell you that it won’t happen to you because no one knows, but i’m telling you to just take measures in to try to prevent it. Also make sure your windows are locked a night in addition to alarm and gun.
