ok so no lights on the battery at all and no button either…….also hitting F12 does nothing at all, maybe its a setting of some sort that i could have screwed up on accident?
I think it is a safe bet to maybe say your battery is dead. Long live the battery! Oops sorry wrong place! Just a question does anybody remember a robot in the comic books by the name of A-1? And if so what was the name of the publisher of the comic book? What was the Title of the comic book?
Unless your about in your middle 50’s, you wouldn’t remember. What’s a move A-1 anyway? Is that a new form of putting the moves on somebody?
sorry, spelling mistake. I meant movie A1
The only A-1 I remember outside of the comic book, is the steak sauce.
There’s your problem Irish1, it is a “Dell” computer. Micheal Dell wants you to keep him in business!
SORRY! Gotta watch who I am replying to huh, Irish-1. I should have addressed that response to nicsk8u. nicsk8u, “There’s your problem Irish1, it is a “Dell” computer. Micheal Dell wants you to keep him in business!”. There how’s that Irish-1?
Oops, replace Irish1 with nicsk8u in the quoted sentence.

Even although Dell do not make batteries and buy them the same as everybody else does.
For comment like that evidently you are not up on U.S.A. merchandise law, Naturally it is the manufacturers fault. If the company/corporations name is on the merchandise they are liable for any and all warranty work or replacement to the item under the stated warranty/guarantee.
In the state I live in, Michigan, there is a law that is called warranty of merchantability. Mean on brand new merchandise there is an “IMPLIED” of 90 days after purchase. Even if the manufacturer make a written statement to the fact. On re-manufactured/rebuilt items there is 30 day “IMPLIED” warranty.
Second place I would send “Dell” an email about the battery. I believe they were involved in a big recall about defective batteries. Shorting out or something like that. One the batteries blew up and caught fire. The manufacture of the battery was I believe was “Sony”. This is what I would do to correct the problem. Third place the short was caused during the manufacturing of the battery pack. It appears that metal chips from “Sony’s” process were getting into the batteries rendering the batteries prone to exploding, catching fire, to simply not working.
And yeah it is “Dell’s” fault they sold the battery under their name.
No objection made, myself I hate misinformation. When it comes to the power/battery pack if it was in the recall, then there still might be a chance to get it replaced. If not, then he should go to “Sony” to find out if they are going to replace it, because the power/battery pack manufactured them.
Consumer law is state by state. Some Southern states cover incidental damage, Michigan does not. Meaning you broke it out side of normal use for which the merchandise was designed, then too bad, they are not covered. I do not know Colorado consumer law I can only speak for the state were I live. It would be nice if there was a blanket consumer law for the United States, but there is not and probably will not be either. We need to keep the lawyers in work.
the same thing is happening to me but i got my laptop just 1 week ago it wont turn on without the battery being plugged in and its fully charged i dnt know wats up wid it
