Does anyone know some old-english words ?

For example …Chastise which means tell off.
I am curious and would like to learn more to improve my vocabulary.

Curple. The word for one’s… posterior. It’s also the only word I’ve found that rhymes with purple.

Do you mean actual Old English (Anglo-Saxon), or just what is colloquially called “old English”, but is really either Early Modern English (Shakespearian) or Late Middle English?

Hmm I do not know.
I fear I meant Early Modern English and not Anglo-Saxon.
Sorry to confuse you as I put the wrong type.
I am a colloquial type of person though so I think so.

It is very cool especially shakesperian language, the words are very romantic.
