I’m pretty sure there’s no way to increase video memory without buying a new card. Regular memory (RAM) can be bought or simulated using hard drive space (virtual memory), but video memory (VRAM) is built into the graphics card and the card has to be replaced with a newer one. Usually new video cards are pretty expensive.

In general, you should check a game’s System Requirements before purchase to make sure it will work on your computer. These can usually be found somewhere on the box.

If you want to pursue the option of getting a new video card, most electronics stores usually offer some options. Make sure any new card you get meets the requirements of your game. Hope this helps!

Did you read the game requirements? So did it tell you that you need to buy a $200.00 Graphics accelerator? Of course not, or you probably wouldn’t have bought it!

There are video cards that have separate memory modules. These types of video cards, are somewhat expensive to buy.

It might behoove you to be a little more explicit as to who made your computer or if it was a custom made system, what Main/mother board was used.

There is an application out there that is what is called a “System Inventory” It will list everything on your computer. It will list make and model of Main/Mother board (even if it is a Dell, Gateway, whatever), make and model of Hard Drives, also software. This information is kept on your computer and your computer only, nobody sees it except you. You can even print out a hard copy of this inventory and file it, so that when asked, all you have to do is take out that list (if things have not changed on your computer) and say with certainty what is on your computer. The place that you can download is:

If you can do that (A simple cut and paste will do) then we could better advise you!
