Don’t you have any family that can help pay your ticket back to Arkansas? Are you having trouble reaching them?

Unfortunately we can’t help with money - just advice.

Your boyfriend sounds like a control freak. Are you in a domestic violence situation? Here’s a toll free number that can put you in contact with somebody who can advise you and help:
National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-SAFE (7233)

Another option is just to get out of your house and go to a woman’s shelter. It will get you away fom this boyfriend and get you emergency shelter and short-term assistance that way. Try calling and finding out if they can do anything for you. If they can’t, they will be able to refer to an agency that can maybe.

Well, if you aren’t being harmed by this man, you might not be able to get help from a woman’s shelter. Still, you do need help. Try contacting your local YWCA for example. Local branches can help you with job training, counseling, etc. At the very least, they can advise you on what kinds of local services might be able to help you.

For Houston the YWCA number is: 713-868-9922
Located at: 3621 Willia St., Houston, TX 77007-7427

It might not be what you want, but you might just have to get a job to raise the money to go home. Go work at a Subway sandwich shop or something and you should have enough money after a month or so for a bus ticket at least.

Also, I’m really sorry about your rape. That’s terrible. Here’s a website you should check out. It’s not your highest priority, but this organization can really help by putting you in touch with some counseling. It can really make a difference in getting over rape trauma.

I wish I could do more. Write back if you have more questions.
