It is when the economy slows down slower then the growth of the population. We actually need a recession pretty badly, because people need to start saving again. Because if we don’t have a sizable recession soon, we’ll have no safety net.

A recession in the US also means the rest of the world will slow down as well, However in hot spots, like India and Japan, not much will curb their exponential growth.

Demat account, short term for dematerialised account is a type of banking account which dematerialize the paper-based physical shares.

The idea of dematerialised account is to avoid the need to hold physical shares–the shares are virtually being bought and sold through the banking account.

I would hope then for a recession soon, although it might slow DMAT accounts in the short run, that sounds like a growth industry for the next few years. The longer this recession is held off the more toxic the market will get, more unstable.

okay… at present in india market is gone down to over 15% in a single hour i.e. only 2day. Do you think it wud be a gd time to play risk game with small amount of money like $1000??? During last week + this week… it went down around 5000pts… i.e. from 21000 to around 15000
