Because it’s no use to have the answer when you don’t understand how to do it yourself. When the test comes around, you still won’t understand it. If you need help, ask a teacher, classmate, family member, etc. Or look it up on google.

Its up to you to make those grades with resurch and effort on your part. Remember its your grade not ours and you need to learn it not us. Do the resurch you will be smarter for it. Hope this helps :-)

Generally people help by giving formulas or hints. Not answers. I’ve seen it a bunch around here :). So, if you have a question don’t just ask for the answer. Ask for help solving it. Good luck!

Because you are supposed to do your own homework. You need to learn how to find out the answers for yourself. Not have us to work it out for you.
All you need to do is type the question in the address bar above instead of typing a post.

also… most questions can be answered by going to google.com and finding it there… if i can do it at my age… and being out of school for 15 years… then those who ask for help for homework should be able to do it with out wanting people to give them the answers…

no.. my daughter would always come home from school.. complaining that she had no idea what to do… or how to do it.. so i went to the school and talked to the teacher… in reality.. she could do it.. and did do it in her class… she just wanted me to sit and give her the answers…. as with most posts on here… asking for help with homework..

Whether love-life or homework, it takes a lot of faith or not caring to just take an answer and pretend it’s the answer to one’s own personal problem without understanding why.

I’ve posted a few math homework questions anonymously because my book didn’t help at all, and google just pointed me to websites that only made things more complicated. I received the help I needed though, and it was all because of how I presented myself. I showed the work I did. So I don’t really appreciate how a lot of the people who posted in this topic are generalizing by saying that everyone that posts a homework help question is lazy. Not everyone is lazy. I agree, a majority of people that do are lazy, but not everyone. I only help with homework questions if the person presents the work they did already.

You say that they nobody’s willing to answer important questions that affect people’s grades, right? 2 questions then:

1) If you were helped, would the grades be reflecting your ability or ours? I’m sure your teacher knows the answers to the homework he/ she sets you and sets you homework to test the extent of your understanding. Let’s not defeat the object here.

2) If everybody had no clue and typed their homework questions into this website and got answers, would there be an end to the number of retards being produced by our schools?! If we don’t help you, it’s for your own good!

I think it might be a good website to visit for the younger generation to use when they are bored. They do need to have a bit of patience though and explore it.

My God, any more slack and you’d hang yourself! Which is exactly what is happening.
This generation of children has more tools and hand-holding than ever before. The students in the rest of the world are learning more things faster than in the U.S. The reason for homework and school in general is to make you think and be able to come up with problems and solve them yourself, creating things that don’t already exist in the world. With the internet, homework is SO much easier than it was when I was growing up, but “you kids” are still asking for the answers!!!
It’s like a drug. If you get all the answers given to you you all your life you will choke on your own ignorance and be a blight on society instead of a citizen that does something with your life.

I will not cut any slack to anyone. F’ing learn something like I did, and quit asking for handouts!!!!

Although I don’t agree that that article gives a good sampling or is nearly enough “proof,” I will subit rekaru and rescind that statement.

Even if our students are as good or better than other countries, help.com and all these other tools will not be around when people start real jobs or are expected to produce ingenuity. AND, in the past it has been America that has been known to foster the kind of learning that produces Do-ers, and saying we are as good as other nations at math and science does not address the point that we are becoming a nation of people that go through life with things handed to us, instead of having to work for it or invent it ourselves.
With all the help and abundance (the internet) that Americans have compared to the rest of the world, we should have FAR BETTER grades than anyone.

Rekaru, the point of my comments were that far too much slack has been given. It’s high time real work was done like I and the people of past generations had to do to continue to make this country what it is…. or for that matter make normal, happy, people with something to contribute and create with their life

You know what I think would be the best use of time for people looking for homework asnwers (until the site gets a policy on the subject) is to ask for the best homework sites.
Google and other metasearches are good for history and science, and www.physicsforms.com is the best place for math.

I will always help with homework, but only if the user can do more than just copy and paste the questions from their homework in here. I will also rarely just give the answer; I’ll always show a process or give just enough information for the person to figure it out on their own.

Don’t come to this site demanding help and getting angry when no one responds since you are being so belligerent about your homework. Approach it nicely and people will be more obligated to help.

You need to get an education on your own so you can get a scholarship and go to college, or that person you ask is super lazy, and your lovelife is important because there is that one someone that will make you happy and if you miss that chance it won’t make you very happy much later in life.

Is this like a joke question?
It’s your homework, not ours.
What’s the point you even HAVING a grade if you didn’t do it yourself?

The whole point in getting a grade for your work is marking for future employers etc, your level of ability. If we do it for you its not your own grade.

Technically you could argue that its cheating.

because although your grades may be important in the long run… peoples love lives seem the most important at the moment, if youve ever been in love, you would understand, its a time when you think of NOTHING else and you are all over eachother 24/7!!! god its amazing!! i miss it.

Important, Grades? Come on, in 5 years- what difference will an A vs a B be? What about your love life in 20 years. Your love life can affect you for your entire life.

Also, often people may not know the answer to your questions. Or perhaps they know that simple Google search will provide you the answer.

Besides we love the drama of love.

(hint: try Yahoo Answers for homework. These two sites are very different and I find they work better for different things. Help.com is really good for emotional support and passionate answers. Yahoo Answers is better for things like homework.)

Circaxxsk8r, you write with such excruciating ignorance that your post should not even warrant a reply. Had you read even one of the posts above you would have seen that. Proves the point about not doing your homework properly, doesn’t it?!
