well, i know that the book Animal Farm by George Orwell was about it. um, wasn’t it the working class overthrew the leader and started running the country by Karl Marx’s theories/ideas…and then that’s when Josef Stalin took over, became a vicious dictator, and totally twisted every law he supposedly swore by. ya. best of luck!

The Whites (those who supported the Czar) vs the Reds (those who supported the Proliteriat Revolution: Trosky, Lenin, Stalin (Stalin means “Iron Man” in Russian, not his real name). The first revolution occured in 1905 I think, and a provisional governement was formed by members of The workers party, but there were some deep divisions. After the monarchy fell (the October Revolution in 1917 was its last gasp), there was a split in the party as the Lenin lead Bolsheviks (which means majority) exiled and exterminated the Mensheviks (which means minority). The Bolsheviks held power but were limited to the main cities right after the revolutionary war and there was more or less anarchy and horrific tyranny and cruelty throughout the country until the early 1920s when the Bolsheviks (later to call themselves the Communist Party) were able organize enough resources to turn or crush the remaining opposition.

Stalin was Lenin’s lap dog until Lenin’s death. Stalin’s real name was Iosef Dogavishi or something like that (look it up). He took the name “Stalin” because it means “Man of Steel” and was similar to “Lenin”. His revolutionary name was “Koba” and rumors persisted that he was actually a double agent for the monarchy during the revolutionary years (many of his fellow revolutionaries were executed, but he miraculously survived). He gained power through ruthless extermination of rivals, most notably Trosky (who was a better orator and revolutionary hero of greater stature than Stalin).

Once Stalin gained power over the Party, life in Russia became a constant agony of purges, mass murders, and ruthless industrialization on the emanciated bones of a starving populace. He was the most brutal tyrant and dictator that ever existed.
