What’s a troll again?

Someone who makes assholeish remarks just to start trouble.

Oh thanks. I think they’re reproducing at an alarming rate. Help should have a family planning section for trolls to keep the population down.

In all honesty it should be like a test for help.com. A moderator who examines a suspected troll for about 1 to 2 days and if he doesn’t sound the helpish type he gets banned…and instead of banning him since he can make a new one, ban his IP address ya know. I am sure that can actually happen on some websites. :S

I really think it shouldn’t matter. To those who like to say random stuff to start trouble they are merely pests. It’s those who choose to respond to such idiocy that are the antogonists. Prolonging the trolls subject into a further argument. If they but merely didn’t reply to such stupid behavior things like Trolls wouldn’t exist.

There are all sorts of people at help, if you have an issue with one particularly, flag the comment, and the mods will deal with it, as soon as they can. They are kinda understaffed (IMHO) but although users see people posting anon—they can see who you (the user) are.

I love turkeys!!

As far as I understand the situation Help.com is still in the process of replacing their web developer to make more modifications to the website. Things like editing others posts and anonymous posting are things that they have taken into consideration…it’s a matter of time and manpower.

The worse helpers are, the more they are set back and the less they are inclined to want to deal with any of us, or the issues with have with other helpers. How would you feel if every time you did your job people got an attitude with you and berated you?

i actually have not taken the time to read all the posts.. as it will take me a long time to do… however.. i believe that these people need to be banned for good… im tired of them starting arguments… and then getting the little “dont do it again.. please” and then continuing it.. its crap!!!!!! these people need to be stopped…

And when ever someone politely tries to reason with them or ask that they stop, they cop an attitude and turn the whole thing around to make it look like THEY are the ones who are being bullied.
