Um I’m not in the UK, but I know that sometimes you can find people on like craigslist that you can have to inexpensive head shots or portraiture. I’ve done it myself.

I don’t know what your financial situation is, if it’s a question of money, of a ‘professional outfit’ being—unprofessional.

financially anything we earn goes back into the band at the moment so most of what we do is based on people coming bored because they need stuff for their own portfolio’s or because they want to join the team and see the dream.

everyone ive come across in this business is so horrible and it just gets you down sometimes. tommorow ill pick myself and start organising a photoshoot all over again i guess.

Maybe there’s a local art school? Sometimes their photographers are willing to do shoots at cheap if not free. My ex-husband wanted shots for his band—I took them, and then he lied and took credit for the shots…now ANYONE believed him, I’m surprised as he was the front man for the band. Esh.

Maybe instead of doing one shoot, you should try and book several and do all of them (if you can get them inexpensively).

im in a band we’re three young women and we’ve been going for 6 years. im now 22. my problem is that i put so much hard work into it but it seems that no matter what i do obstacles always fall in the way. we recently organised a photoshoot whichwent really well but now the photographer has stabbed us in the back so we’re back to square one. we needed those pics to send to record companies with the rest of our package. its just the latest in a long line of setbacks and i dont know what to do, im tired.
