All my cats are rescued cats… I’ve taken in many strays over the years, and one from a shelter. I’ve gotten a few of them adopted through shelters too, when I couldn’t keep them myself. I totally agree with your cause! There are way too many good animals in need of loving homes, and the shelters are overloaded and need lots of help to do what they do.

So cute! :) I’ve got 6 cats at the moment (and a couple of strays I feed outdoors)… I’ve had up to 9 at one time though. I must say that was a lot, even for a cat lover like me!

Yes, my avatar is my baby. She is a rescue. Most wonderful animal I’ve ever owned. And, I’ve owned many pure breeds and registered dogs, but none like Spunky!

I have never picked a cat of my own. They have always found me. I have one that is 17 and her son who is 9. I’ve taken in dogs and worked with friends of animals and Sponsered and kept several. I found a Basset hound and found her a home with another male. They lived happy and just a few years ago the lady called to tell me she had died. Long happy life and how much she loved her. It was very rewarding. Here I have been concerned about the birds and deer. We are having record snow and they are having a hard time finding food. Every morning its fresh water and all kind of seed and I went to the feed store and got corn a neighbor and I throw out for the deer. The animals need are help in so many ways. I don’t deadhead my garden in the fall just so they can have the dried seeds during lean times, winter.
I even have a compost during dinner prep. I wing apples or zuchini or whatever off my deck and it makes me happy to see a deer in the morning catching a break. All you have to do is care. They deserve it, thier noble in life and death.

I have three cats and a dog that were all once abandoned. I also send money to IFAW when I can…
Ok, I’ll add this to my “to do” list.
