my friend is in the hospital and the doctors think she has mononucleosis. is it contagios? I looked it up on google but it doesnt say if its contagious. thanks!

Mono is very contagious. You usually get it after kissing someone who has it, sharing food, or drinking from the same glass. It’s not airborne, like the flu or a cold, so being in the same room with your friend is just fine.

Yes. But if you weren’t sharing drinks or food or kissing, you shouldn’t be in too bad of a risk. Just avoid those activities for a week/week and a half to make sure you haven’t got a sore throat or anything.
