how do i use a korg gt-3 guitar/bass tuner?

whenever i use it it never goes to the right string. ive triedgoing above and below the range of the string to get the indicator to go to it but it will stay on the g string and occasionally go to high e. nothing works and i just want to tune my guitar so i can start learning to play.

make sur its set on guitar and not bass. But i assume u’ve alrdy done that. Have u tried both by pluggin the guit in and by the mic? Last idea, take the batteries out and in again. I cant think of nothing else. Maybe its just not workin properly, sometimes happens… even with new things.
