it didn´t go very well…

me and my friend asked my love and his friend out for bowling and arvid (my love) turned red and smiled and said that he didn´t know if he could… and his friend doesn´t wanna go if arvid doesn´t go… so i gotta convince arvid to go… it´s not gonna be easy… i thought he´d say yes… :( dissapointed…

I’d personally say something like “you know you want to” in a kind of joking voice. Often that does convince them to go, and it comes across as funny instead of annoying.

yeah, but my friend has already been kind of pushy and asking him all the time… isn´t it better to say like… it´s gonna be fun… just a friendly thing…: )

Either one works. It’s the tone of voice really. Be funny and friendly, not needy and annoying. Be okay with him not coming, but make it clear that it’d be more fun if he were there.

I know, but it makes him want to go more if you sound like you’ll have fun without him. Otherwise he’ll feel like he has to make it be fun, and the pressure isn’t good.
