Is there anybody here who can give me insights on my situation…

i am emotionally attached to someone i`ve never seen, nor touch. He is like my best friend, my advisor, my inspiration. I heard his voice via phone but never seen him. I asked for his picture but he often told me he is just an average looking guy. He`s voice is very calm and confident, i only know his first name and his job and where he lives and he has only one brother, both parents died so many years ago. But apart from that i don`t know anything else.

I know in online world there`s a lot of danger some might be just waitng for thier prey, but since i became a friend to this mysterious guy, he never do me any wrong, nor disrespect me. The thing is i have this strange feeling towards him, i don`t know what`s going on with me. We are both mature individual trap in this online world… We talked about meeting in person in the near future which we both don`t know when it`s gonna be.

Do you think i am just emotionally attched or connected to this person or i am feeling something more?

Thank you for any commnets…

I wish I could give you some great, unobvious insight, but you’ve pretty much summed it all up here.
He refuses to let you see what he looks like, he doesn’t even let you know more than his first name. You can summarize everything you know about him in a single sentence.
In essence, this guy is not even an aquaintance, he’s a stranger. He may be a stranger you’ve been talking to for a long time, but still a stranger. The fact that you’ve been talking to him and he is still a stranger is all the more strange.

I’m not denying that you can feel a valid emotional attachment to what you know about him. I’m just saying, consider the fact that you know almost nothing about him. Are you attached to him, or are you attached to the things you hope that he is?

My advice - be careful about giving your heart to strangers. More importantly, be careful of people on the internet who refuse to give you any real information about themselves but still try to build a connection with you. The internet is a great place for naive people to lose their money, dignity, or lives.

If you were desperate for ’someone’to come along,it’s possible, heck anything is possible. My main concern is how old are you and he?

You surely are attracted to this person.Who am i to judge of that person but just be very careful. Been there and done that and it turned out that he was not the person he projected himself to be. It left me hurt at the end and right till now i still can see it as very traumatic. Make sure that this guy is not the sole inspiration you have. He can be the best motivation for you BUT do no invest your time too much on him. This would at least prevent you from focusing yourself too much on this person who ‘might’ cause you pain at the end. Seek real friends you see in person and such. And most of all, don’t give your heart our too easily. He is still a stranger.

everyone was right in saying he is still a stranger, over the internet you can be anything you want to and you can say what ever you think the other person wants to hear, over the phone it’s easy to sound sexy or even in love but! yes here it comes you don’t know what he looking like or what he’s up to, love is sometimes what you make , I to have been talking to someone and after all these months i don’t know what he looks like because i also found out that even if they send you a photo it may not be them, photo’s are easy to copy and send to someone so what we have here is special feelings for a internet man who we do not know it’s okay to talk to some one but invest your heart unless you really know the person. here is an idea sit down and write out a lot of questions that will help you know him better, ask him about his self ask him to talk about his friends about his childhood gowning up what he feels and then ask him to write about what is going on in his life and tell him you need to see what he looks like but remember the photo may not be him. one of the reasons I say this is because I did just that and some the answers let me see who I was really talking to and we now no longer talk. so be carful and see where it goes.
