Going Brunette to Blonde.
What are the steps..
I have dark hair right now and dark eyebrows..
What is tinting eyebrows?
I’m just thinking about getting it done and the knowledge of what the hair dresser has to do would be helpful thank you:D

What do you want to know, the eye brows or the hair or both?
You can’t use normal hair dye on your ryr brows you have to get stuff specialy for that.
Going from a dark colour to light can be a tricky when doing it yourself, what were you thinking of useing and how light do you want to go?
tinting eyebrows is like dying your eyebrows, to make it a lighter color so that it matches your hair. Basically, to make your hair blonde, it would have to be stripped (or severely bleached) and then dyed to the exact colour you want. This will not kill your hair if done properly, but you should make sure you go to a good hair dresser, to minimize the damage, especially if continuing to dye frequently (with brown roots, you will have to dye more frequently than that of a blonde going brunette, or blonde changing the tint of her hair). Tinting eyebrows is similar to the steps done on the hair. With tinting, the brow is bleached to a similar color (without the addition of dye) and is generally done with a special form of bleach that is less severe (in case of contact with eyes). When the brown starts to grow back in (much like roots) you would need to have it redyed. Many brunettes choose to make their brows thinner, but keep their color instead of actually going through the tinting procedure.
Or you could choose to have highlights which minimize the roots growing back and with highlights you can have several shades of blonde to appear more natural.
for brunette to blond i wouldnt recommend doing it yourself (if at all you were contemplating).
all brunettes have a slightly reddish tint to their hair, and blond hair dye will not lift that color, and your hair will turn to have a warm reddish undertone to it. Not natural looking either.
i JUST dyed my hair last night, from dirty blond to blonder (home dye). apparantly i had a bit of a red undertone and now i have this stupid strawberry blond color. not recommended.
go to a salon and ask them questions. they wont charge you. just walk in, ask for a business card, and start asking the questions you want answered. they’ll be happy to help you.
I’m planning on going to my hairdresser who is some world something something somthign lets just put it this way its goign to cost too much:p ahah But I’m probbily goign to do it anyway
haha yeah. sometimes the best idea is to go with the best, at least for the original color. Touchups can be applied by anyone, but its a good idea to have the base colour and highlights (if you choose) done properly, and to have it redyed every once in a while (to prevent fading of the color).. Another good idea for slowing root growth is to get low-lites. These are like highlights but would be of a darker color, thus making the roots less noticable. Likewise, depending on your color, and what you and the salonist think, You can try keeping some of your original color undyed, to make natural lowlites. These can look really good in any color hair, and are the least damaging way of getting your hair done. As well, many salonists like to do this, to help customers get used to their new color. It makes a less shocking transition, and adds more depth to the blonde color. Many salonists wont even dye a clients hair brown from blonde, unless theyve done lowlites of some sort first (because clients will tend to come back and want their hair stripped back to the original blonde).
I’m still debating wehter or not to do it..
When I was younger I had preettyyy blonde hair..
daughter just dyed her hair blonde she has a brownish blonder color hair and it turned redish blonde. She is devasted. She is only 13 and what can we do this is Easter weekend. HELP> email any ideas to (email removed) regards hair color
what I find to be the easiest thing to do. Is doing your top layer brunette and the bottom layer blonde. then you NEVER have to worry about roots since the blonde is below your natural hair color. You have to get it cut in 2 layers though that way the blonde shows. really easy and looks amazing. You just pin up the part you want to stay your natural color and bleach the rest and dye it then you’re done.
brunette (inlove) i love brunette i dont like blonde they are chalky ;)
If you want a TRUE dirty blonde, dye your hair the darkest blonde color you can find (this can be done on your own, i recommend going to Sally Beauty Supply for the supplies) then find a hair dresser you are familiar with that you know is good at highlights and have them do foil highlights, this way if you want it REALLY blonde you can do lots of highlights in different shades of blonde or a little bit of highlights. I have naturally chocolate brown hair and it worked great for me. As for the eyebrows, clump the base color you use before the highlights on them BEFORE you apply the color to your head, this way they’ll be close to your finished color without looking fake. If you apply it to your eyebrows AFTER you dye your hair they may not lighten enough.
If you have SUPER dark hair, DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF. You WILL end up with orange hair. Go to a salon and get a darker blonde color, and THEN bleach it yourself. I highly suggest Sally Beauty Supply.
I really want to dye my hair blonde on top and keep brunette under but I’m afraid id look ugly. (I’m already dealing with a depression of ugliness– I think brunette is the worst color and it only intensifyes the ugliness scale in someone) ugh. I wish I was born blonde as in formed to look good in it. :,(
