Please don’t ask for homework help if you aren’t prepared to tell us what the question is!

We need to know:

The question you’re stuck on
What the question pertains to (i.e., we can’t figure out a question like: “What’s the value of x in my equation?”)
What subject the question is coming from
and
What grade level it is (some of us have only graduated high school, some have gone to college, some have graduated college… etc.)

What you need to do:

Post your question
Stick to your post (I hate it when I ask a question about a post and get no response all night)
Answer questions for clarification that we need to help you

I promise that if you follow all these instructions, you will get an answer!

I agree that it’s annoying. However, I also agree that they should do their homework themselves and only come on here when all other options have failed. Many of them come on here as their first resort and that surely defeats the object.
