une affiche or un placard un placard being a more official thing. affice being sort of like something you’d stick on your wall

Un plarcard??? Slight typo, there? Well anyways, both can be used but since you are in Ontario, Canada, I suggest you use “affiche”. If you go around saying “placard” here in Quebec, you might have a little trouble being understood.
