substantial broadband speed reduction.

Cable broadband speed has slowed substantially in the past days
From the normal of some 5 Mb/seconds to some 0.3 Mb/second
How I can reinstate original normal speed?

Communicate the problem to your isp.

Double check that all the cables behind your computer are untangled. A mate had a similar problem and it turned out that the network cable from the router to the PC was about 30ft long… all coiled up… and wrapped around a load of power cables.

We separated everything out and it was all fine.

Also double check your computer for spyware - Try ‘Spybot Search & Destroy’ (search for it on google)

Failing that, I’d call your ISP as Stm suggested.

if you are using to much for downloading your broadband provider is slowing you down unless you got unlimited broadband .This happens to me always on the last few days of each month…
