All I want to do with my life is live abroad.
Are there any Americans out there that found work abroad? How did you do it? How do you get started?

This is awesome…a lot of info…any tips on what i should look at first?
Yes… so many links there it can be a bit overwhelming!
Since you are interested in working and living abroad maybe start by checking out the resources at these two links…

Also you might try and narrow it down to a country that sounds like a place you would be interested in working and living. You can do a search on site for a particular country by typing the country in the search input box on the upper right.
Read articles about that particular country and what jobs are available - see if it matches with your interests or sounds like it might be up your alley.

What do you miss most? What is it you do? How did you end up there?

that’s why you do it, though. to appreciate what you have or have had, to experience new things, to break the monotony… to live life!

Hi.
first of all where would you like to move?
Well, I speak Spanish pretty well so any spanish lanuguage nation would be a good place to start. However I am not picky and would work anywhere…I’ve looked into the Foreign Service Exam and that would be fun. If I could choose any place on the planet to work though it would probably be Costa Rica or Spain.

yup. 6 months and you can switch positions. if you get in the right position, you can transfer to the one in costa rica & they take care of all the visa stuff for you.

What job would you be interested in?
I’d also love to live abroad. Maybe in a few years. Good luck!
Well, I currently work as a broker and my education is pretty thurough…I’m good at sales and I have a computer science degree. I would need to make a minimum to move (looking at about $40k all in) to support my mortgage, student loans and credit cards state-side, not to mention living a the new location. But $40k isn’t really that much is it?
(of course unless you count being able to spell thorough)
