Does anyone know of a good video file format converter?
I want to edit some videos, but my Nikon camera records only .AVI video and the only video editing software I have is Windows Movie Maker and the only video format that WMM isn’t compatible with is .AVI! Wow, I don’t know how clear that was.
I can only record: .AVI

There, hope that was clearer. I tried to find a program that could convert .avi files to a file type compatible with WMM, but I could only find one program (called “Prism” I believe). The quality after conversion was horrible though, so i removed the program. Does anyone know of a good solid video converter that won’t completely ruin the quality?
