Hi, Can you help?

My name is Steve Ferreira and I’m 30 years old. I am here reaching out to anyone that is willing to help. I was once a very happy person with a home, a beautiful wife and a gorgeous little girl, but things change when you take the wrong path in your life. I made some horrible mistakes that left me financially helpless. Through my bad choices I lost my wife and little one and alot more than that. It has been almost a year since all this happened and after trying so hard to fight back and regain a life I once had I am left with friends and family with there backs turned to me. I cry in my bed every night wondering what to do because I have tried everything in my power to regain financial independance. I have gone to consulling and debt consultants and they can’t help me. I have dug a whole that I sometimes wish I can barry myself in. I work 10 to 18 hour days and all my pay cheques go to is paying debt. I have tried to consolidate but have failed. Yesterday I hit rock bottom when I recieved an eviction notice on the place I’m renting, I have till Feb 15th to be out. I don’t know where to go. I sometimes feel like nothing goes right and I am surrounded by bad luck even after trying to make the right choices.
I use to walk by homeless people and wonder how they got there after I emptied my pocket with loose change and here I am with a coffee cup doing the same thing. I’m embarrassed by doing this and I use to be really proud that I can give instead of being on the recieving end. Some people would probably do something illegal or drastic while going through desperate times, but I don’t have it in me to do that. I am here with my handout so I can eat and live.
If your willing to help and send spare change I have till Friday, Febuary 15th to possibly pay my rent. This is not a scam just a desperate action. My computer is the last thing I have to pawn and I am saving it for the worst situation cause I don’t think it’s over yet.

Thank You,

Steve

Thanks Valentino. I appreciate the comfort. And what’s the problem giving out personal info Xeno? Just trying to let people know I’m not here scaming and if someone wants to steel my identity, they can have it.

I don’t know what that is like but theres a book you both should read. The guy was in the same situation, lost family, home, out on the streets. Your local library will have it to check out. Called “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” by T. Harv Eker. I know, you’re a long way from millionaire but thats the point. I am not a pusher of things, its just this one book really hit me. It is worth spending 10 minutes a day to read a bit of it each night. Good luck to both of you!

And xeno, if you are really, really in debt, have you considered filing bankruptcy? Some things are not wiped out by BK but lots are. If you file, go Chapter 7, it wipes out all the debt. DO NOT go chapter 11 (it makes you repay the debt and your credit is still equally messed up as if you had just gone chapter 7) Tips for filing bk: if you have any or two credit cards with low or zero balances, do NOT include those in the bk. You will need them after the bk when no one will give you a credit card. It also helps build your credit up faster. Just an FYI, your credit will be royally messed up for several years. It stays on your record for 10 years (NOT 7) But, in the long run, 3-5 years, you may be better off. Ok, I’ll stop there but I have more BK tips if you need them.

That all said, you already know you need to figure out how the heck you can avoid making the same mistakes

Best wishes!

This isn’t my post. I just edited out the original poster’s personal information, as it’s a violation of the site rules to disclose them.

You can try your luck at online charities like Digital Charity, people may send donations if your story is convincing enough. More information at http://www.laodn.org/

xeno, yeah, my mistake. I saw your name but didn’t read close enough. When addressing xeno I meant to address “anonymous”
