Guys get crap gifts on Valentines Day, if they get any at all.

I would like to hear from the guys out there, what would you REALLY like to get on Valentines? What advice would you give to a girl who wants to give a good gift, not a stupid soppy one, and within a reasonably tight budget - unfortunately can’t stretch to the helicopter rides etc;). Would like some ideas! Thanks!

Hey, it goes both ways! Girls can get crappy gifts too :(

…Anyway, it’s just the same as buying gifts for other special occasions. You can’t buy the perfect thing unless you know something about the other person; and you use that knowledge to choose something that suits them and will make them happy.
Which sounds sappy, but isn’t that the point of giving gifts? :P

yeah, girls get crap gifts too but I do feel sorry for the guys who are under pressure to come up with the ‘perfect’ romantic present, girls tend to have higher expectations.. the thing about valentines is, that when under pressure to buy a gift, I find it so hard to get anything, nothing seems right.. normally if I know theres a cd or book or whatever he likes I get it, no special occasion needed, its no problem, but now there’s this deadline, so its not so natural.. hugs and kisses, well that goes without saying;) and yes, to be remembered, but how to show it??

I don’t know about the rest of America, but I can do naughty things with my husband, any day of the year. For Valentines this year I am going to buy a miniature collectible of his car. The man is so in love with it anyways that I figured he would put it in his pocket if he could, this way he will have it with him where ever he goes if he wants.

Um I like this post, after spoiling each other on Christmas and birthdays we won’t be going over the top valentines day, I would like flowers and time with my boyfriend but what to get him that is along those same lines, a friend of mine’s fiance loves sweets so she brought him a gift box of love hearts and his other favorite sweets, my boyfriend is a bit of a health nut tho and wouldn’t apprecaite that, so I would loe to see any other suggestions
