Hello all,

Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Honestly, I feel a little strange talking about personal matters in a public forum like this. But after reading some of the posts and replies on this site, I get the sense that the people here are seriously concerned for others and really care. I think having understanding and caring people in my life would be a great help to me…even if it’s online. :)

I have some rather serious issues I am currently dealing with now, but I’m not quite ready to state them in public yet. Maybe I will just see what happens with this first introductory post and take it from there.

Oh.. and just to let you know - if youre “really” uncomfortable posting something under your identity - you can post anonymously. Just if you do make a post and click the “anonomous” box… every time you send a reply you have to check the “Reply Anonymously” box or else it will show up as you.

It is really hard to share a lot of personal stuff, especially with strangers. I think you can click a box at the end of the message and it gets posted anonymously, if that helps.

My life is an open book. I spent too many years keeping secrets and I think the more I talk about what I experience(d), the better I becoming in dealing with life. I also think we learn from each other.

Welcome to the group. I am fairly new myself so just post whenever you are ready. I think when we reach out to others and ask for help and offer help, that alone improves things to a certain extent.

That’s totally understandable Mastermind. Take your time, and no one will hold it against you (except you perhaps) :)

I think its everyone has the same aversion to some degree. That’s why people stay away from counselors often. It is why the coaching profession is taking off now… because your counselor can be your friend. Even the Pope has a confessor! Anyway, the longer you stay here the more addicted you will get to the site, in both confessing to “strangers” and helping strangers. Mark Twain once wrote: “The easiest way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer someone else up.”. It’s very true :)
Bright blessings ~ Richard

Wow this is great. I was composing a response to Amanda and Knead and Richard wrote. Well thanks alot all for the warm welcomes and encouragement. I will definitely get around to opening up here I’m sure. Like you Knead I have held many secrets too long and it’s really coming back to bite me on the azz.

Well just having this welcome has helped me feel a little bit better. Good to know there are people in the world who are not plain evil. hehe

mastermind - there will always be people from one end of th spectrum to the other. Never should we take in so much of the bad end that we refuse to acknowledge that which is on the good end - nore should be only accepting of the good end and never accept the bad. Where there is balance - there is usually where the truth exists also.

Yes I believe you are very right Amanda. Unfortunately I have been spending much of the past few years with people towards the darker end of that spectrum…so again I appreciate the warm welcome.

Richard I will check out the ebook, maybe it will give me some helpful insights. Actually I’m planning on writing a couple of books myself over the next year. 1 of them is a “better than fiction”, but true, account of my life the last 2 years. :)

It’s always nice to see a new face. :) Welcome. I noticed you responded to a post a moment ago just before I did, and I didn’t recognize you. It’s always nice to meet someone new. I hope your experience here is a good one.
