*RECANTING MY STORY* Last week, in a moment of despair, I searched the internet hoping to find a solution to my overwhelming need.

We all go through the bad with the good. The “good news” about the “bad news” is that it doesn’t last forever, thank the Lord! I didn’t fully understand what this site was all about until I started reading other posts. Some of them broke my heart as I heard the cries for help and even anger in others that just wanted to vent. As desperate as I felt, I guess the counselor in me wanted to reach out and try to help as many as I could, come to grips with their situation. Before that day ended, I knew I had to edit my post. I was impressed with how many people seemed to care about others, something you don’t see much of these days. My post was so intense and so heart felt that I thought surely someone would help me, however after reading the plea of others it seemed shallow. I didn’t need what they had, they needed what I had…now that’s a wake up call. As a minister and counselor, I talk to many people but usually one on one. This site was filled with hurting people, many hopeless and some suicidal. You never know when someone is being straight up with you but I never take any threat of suicide lightly, something is wrong in their life, somewhere or they would never even post these threats. I simply had to come back and delete mine. I serve a God that has always met my needs. At times I’ve wondered where He was but continued to call out to Him. The Bible says He is near to those with a broken heart. I can’t explain why it seems like He is late at times, fact is , He’s not! He is always “right on time”! Yes, my need is still there strong as ever but I have the most valuable gift I could have at this time…PEACE. Peace is priceless and will take you to your victory! See, if God came when I thought He should, I would have no need for peace, the answer to my problems would bring me peace. God wants to show me that the truest peace you can have is when it comes right in the middle of those trying times. If I have been a poor witness to the faithfulness of my God, I’m truly sorry, first to Him and then to others who read the desperate plea in my blog. I love Him, I serve Him and proclaim His great love and compassion I have personally seen in my life! Well… that’s my sermon and I’m sticking to it.. :) There is hope for you and anything you are going through, and peace until the answer comes. It comes through the “Prince of Peace”, His name is Jesus. He’ll be there if you call. If you would like to read more you can cut and paste this address and log on. I wish all of you the best in everything you do and I would encourage you to hang on, your joy will come again! Many blessings to all of you that reach out to help on this web site, have a great day!! http://ourchurch.com/member/v/VOICEOF...

My advice, turn to God.
If you are faithful and ask and have faith that He will bring you out of the situation then He will see your faith.

Perhaps, as an agnostic, I should tread lightly here, but if you are so low on money have you thought of getting a job that pays, or at least finding a way to make money being a minister? The internet is not always a monetarily abundant place.

Thank you Conquistador, If anyone knows the walk of faith, it’s me. Faith has kept me going and I totally trust God. I was reserved about writing this because I didn’t want others to think God wasn’t faithful because He absolutely is. I do know, at times you need to let down pride and simply ask and give others the opportunity to be used of Him. Thank you for your quick reply and God bless!

God is always faithful, may I also add that confidence in this time of need is absolutely crucial.

There were two farmers, both needed rain for a successful harvest but their was no rain for many months. Both prayed and asked God for rain but only one prepared the fields for rain while the other waited.
Who got the rain? The one who prepared his field knwoing that God would answer his prayer because he was faithful.
=)

:)Adam, We do hold down jobs that “pay” :). We have had several financial attacks that have become overwhelming to us. You can tread…it’s ok, really! We have two web sites for the “hopeless” simply because the internet allowed us to see the need. Maybe I’m here for more than myself! Guess time will tell! blessings

Conquistador, absolutely and Amen! I’ve preached that many times. In fact I live it and seen rain in our fields while others were dry.

Kaceyyyyyy, This world is full of desperate people, I counsel them daily. They simply get to a place where all hope seems to be gone and cry out for others. Maybe God has allowed me to feel their pain and believe me I have! In the Bible there were many “beggars” hoping for someone to help. Jesus always dealt with the ones who refused to help rather than those that asked. There will always be those who abuse the system and we may never know who they are. We just have to answer the cry that touches our heart the most and if they are not for real, I promise,God will handle it. Good question! :)

I prefer not to be called “the hopeless” if you don’t mind.
Really, I don’t think you will have any monetary donations from this site or, in fact, the internet itself. All you can hope for is the wisdom and advice of others.

I think your best bet would be to get a good, PAYING job so you can support yourself and your family.

As far as your house payment. Call and talk with them. YOu might also consider combining all of your bills together. I know We had a tough time when I was in School and that is what I did. Of course I do not know your situation. I would talk with my daughter if I were you. This is just way too much pressure on one person. I am in a Financial tight at the moment so I feel your pain. My situation is we own a small business which can be up and down. We have all of our vehicles paid for but we still owe for our house. As far as credit cards we cut them up and paid them off a long time ago. It has got to be hard for a leader of a church to admit this to the congregation but that may be your only hope if its got to the point you may lose your home. Than again who am I to talk I am not willing to speak of my Financial situation to my church family. Thats why I am on here talking to people who really don’t know me. You know what though I have already seen that this is a great place because people really do care and want to help. Who knows what plans God has for you some one on this site said that I might be living my testimony. That may also be your testimony.
God be with you (he always is)

Please, is the only word I can find to say. I Don’t know where to begin. I know how desperate so many people are, I counsel with them all the time but I never thought I would be here, so desperate myself. When you are in ministry, sometimes you feel like you are on an island all alone. Don’t get me wrong, God has always kept us and He will again, however I do know, He also works through people. Our story is much, much too long to write about and many wouldn’t care about all the details anyway. I know it’s our turn to seek help and that is why I’m here. Our financial condition is desperate. So many things have come against us in the past seven years that it seems hard to believe. At this moment, our grace (with the mortgage co.) on our home has run out. Our youngest daughter is getting married in three weeks. Her plans have been made and we can’t even send out the invitations. She is all excited and I find myself avoiding her because I can’t tell her there is nothing there for her, it breaks my heart. We are in ministry and my husband holds down other jobs as well. I draw disability because of a stroke in 1990. I am a certified Christian counselor but it is non profit. It seems the ones who need counseling the most, don’t have the money. :) I pray I can reach the heart of someone who can please, please help us quickly. I’ll be glad to send you the links to our two web sites so you can know who we are. Please if you can help us, it would be the absolute blessing we are waiting for. Again, don’t get me wrong, God has always kept us and I give Him all the glory but I also know at times He chooses to use others He has blessed. Thank you and God bless, JEC

Adam lol, no one called you “hopeless”, just wanted to make that clear. Actually I was “agreeing” with you! The internet is not the best place for help. I was at a site one time that was filled with hurting people. It touched my heart so much that I built a web site for people needing encouragement and hope. Sorry you took it the wrong way! Oh well…have a blessed day!

Dear Christian.., You are indeed a testimony! Thank you for encouraging words! We don’t pastor a church. We are ordained ministers but minister to those on the streets and in prison etc. We are very active in the church but “not” called to pastor! :) You sound like an inspiration to others, keep it going, sister!

Sorry if I misunderstood you; We get a lot of people here who are very forceful with their religion, whether it be Christianity, Islam, or Atheism.
Many a time has a Christian called us “misguided”, or even “demented”, and I thought this time was another.
Again, sorry that I misheard you, I wish you well…

Thanks Adam! I wish you well as “well”! I am certainly a minister and counselor, however, to find “God” one must seek Him. If you are not seeking someone to talk to about “Him”, I’m not here to discredit you. One thing we have in common…an intrest in people, amd man are they intresting, ha! By the way Adam, whatever you do , please don’t see me as “religious”. I serve God but not in a way to put another down. I just want to show his love to others, and that’s all He asks us to do! Anyway, it’s great talking to you! I wish you many blessings!!

Adam, you have a most wonderful name! Just want to say one thing, if I might. In 6,000 years, parents have thought up great names for their children. Everyone was named by another human being, God chose yours!! Ok!! Thank you, it has been a totally refreshing day!! Got more than what I thought I would get…. made a friend! :)

Well, actually, I was not named after the theoretical original Adam.
rather, I was named after the comedian, Adam Sandler. And my mom chose my name.
See you later, friend!

Adam, i meant the name in general. i’m a mom that really gets into name meanings and it was just neat to me to think about all the names in this world and where they came from. even eve was named by “adam” but the name “adam” came from god (nobody else to name him lol)!! well, my sermon for the day, ha! have a great week friend!

Adam
This is the Hebrew word for “man”. It could be ultimately derived from Hebrew אדם (’adam) meaning “to be red”, referring to the ruddy colour of human skin, or from Assyrian adamu meaning “to make”.

Adam is indeed “cool” ha! I always heard Adam meant red clay, I believe. I guess “man”, “red clay” and “make” give “clues” to the “treasure” of creation lol ! whatever the case, it has a nice ring! Have a great week!!

Yes, well to be red is very close to adam in hebrew, as is in the etymological definition posted above, and perhaps when you take make and red together, you get red clay, as that was what buildings were made of.
All speculation, of course. :)

Even assuming there is a god, I don’t really think the bible is to be taken literally.
More likely that adam and eve were metaphors…

That’s fascinating. The Spanish word for network is “red”
