I feel rEtarted

Ive been using Extacy for quite some time.. I occasionaly take a break for a couple days but its turned into almost everyday use.. Im 17 and ive been using Extacy since A week before i turned 16 I was at the point were i would use on a daily basis…

I get the basic effects: Depression, anxiety, My pupils reaction time is much slower.. ( i get blinded by real bright lights easily) but the worst i guess would be loss of short term memory. For instance Ill be talking 2 a some one in the middle of a sentance
And completly forget what im talking about.. So i think bak to what i just said and in doing so i forget what i was going 2 say… All that ends up left is a blank thought in my head.. Or Ill run into my house to grab something or do something and end up not being able to remember what i needed to do.. and completely forget what i went into do.. It actually took me some time to write and finish this short paragraph because i can barley finish a sentence when im actually trying to contemplate something

I havnt really noticed this that much until i actually got off the drug.

Im wondering will these side effects ever go away

(currently I havnt used Extacy in over 4weeks)

It will take a very very long time, but eventually it will get better, yes.

well messing with your system that badly so young may inhibit proper growth… most likely you will acclimate but it will take a long time.

I Have a short term and sometimes long term memomry loss but thats from a head injury and by keeping my mind active all the time by learning new things i now able to talk , type(somewhat better) and think better.

It will get better over time. but unfortunately brain cells that are destroyed or are now dead cannot be regenerated. So the brain cells you lost are gone for good. Stay off this drug. If you use it again you’re risking more damage.

didnt you learn in school that drugs kill brain cells? i really hope that you have had enough of those signs to show you that the drug is not worth taking… hopefully it will eventually leave your system and you will be back to normal.. but who is to really say…. best of luck on staying off from them..

The study of long term uses of Extacy aren’t very well documented so the long term affect aren’t really documented either.

Coupled with that is the fact that sometimes what’s marketed as Extacy isn’t, and the things it’s cut with are sometimes unknown.

Track your recovery.
My fiance and I found that omega-3 (fishoil) help with the normal fog of life. Might help with your recovery too, I’m not sure.

Hi i was in the same boat as you, i used extacy alot from the age of 16-18 many constantly. it really messed me up i felt that i couldnt talk it was really strange and i fort people was trying to get at me when they wernt and i had really bad depression.
its been 4 months since i last had the drug and im doing really well i speak all the time now lol the depression went after a couple of months and im feeling really good now.
the only things i can say is make shore you keep it contact with your friends as much as possible and keep involved with conversations ect
try to keep you brain in gear by this i mean teach yourself things you have intrests in. and maybe start a hobby i done that to replace the good feeling you get from drugs and remember always look on the brighter side of life it feels like i am high on life now
