Theres a good product on the market called Nizorall that you can try…if not try Neutragena dandruff shampoo. Since you say that you’ve just started getting it, its probably not that bad so you could go with Head and Shoulders or Selsenblue. Nip it in the bud before it gets worse. My uncle gets dandruff all the time and when it gets bad he needs to use a tar shampoo (which really stinks) so don’t let it go for too long. If those shampoos don’t work, you might need to see a dermatologist. Hope that helps.

Thank you for your reply. I’ve been using Head and Shoulders for about two months now, and it goes away for a day after I use it, but it always comes back. My mom has it pretty bad, as did her father, so I guess it’s genetic.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure how much genetics plays a part…if you’re finding that the Head and Shoulders isn’t helping enough, try moving on to something stronger, like the Nizoral I mentioned http://www.nizoral.com/.

HI,
I have different idea. you cannot give up. Try lemon or lime (not bottle one) without water and keep it for 20 minutes. then take a shower. Once a week, use tomato in your hair and do not wash for 20 mins then wash it. Also, if you want your hair very shiny once a week use raw egg and wash your hair. I am sure these tips will care your hair. egg makes hair very shiny and silky. I believe in natural stuffs. I am Asian. I do not go after cosmetic that are found in market because they are temporary.
thanks

I get bad dandruff. I have found that a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to my Shampoo works. I love Joico Biojoba Shampoo, it takes care of the dandruff but also doesn’t strip my hair. My sister uses Nioxin, she sent me some but it is pretty harsh on my hair, though you could try it.

I hope this helps.

A few remedies that you can try at home are:

- Apply coconut oil on your scalp and leave it for an hour. After an hour, apply lemon juice and massage your scalp. Leave it on for another hour, and then shampoo your hair with a mild shampoo. This will leave your hair shiny and without any dandruff flakes.

- Take an egg, beat it and apply on the scalp and leave it for an hour. Shampoo your hair and you will find that the dandruff has disappeared.

- If you have mild dandruff, applying coconut oil daily for a few days, will rid you of the condition.

It’s mild, but I have it all the time. It comes back every few days, even with proper scalp care. I’m just looking to make it less noticeable. Thank you guys.

no, only if you eat raw eggs (among other foods) do you have a chance at getting salmonella. rubbing it on skin wouldn’t matter.
