Portal, Half Life 2: Orange Box Loading error?
Hey everyone. I just bought the Half Life 2: Orange Box and I’m having problems playing Portal.
I can play up to Test Chamber 10 but once I complete it and get the loading screen, that’s all I get. A loading screen.
I’ve left it loading for up to half an hour and got nothing, just that blurred image of your containment area and the word ‘Loading…’ in the bottom corner.
If I Alt+Tab away it wont let me maximise it again and if try and close it it tells me it has crashed. Also, just before I get to the loading screen, a small mesage pops up in orange talking about something to do with cheats?
I haven’t used any cheats and the message goes to quickly for me to read it porperly. I’m not sure if these two things are connected.
I have well above the system requirements.
Is anyone else having this problem? If so does anyone know how to fix it? I just shelled out £35 for this and I’ve been waiting for it for months.
