I was on a fistfull of medication for ten years, ten years of medically induced psychosis.

I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t focus on what they wanted me to focus on, there were much more important things going on around me besides schoolwork, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. I eventually went completely “insane” and it was in this state that I realized the truth. There are things in the world, that cant be explained away, things that the higherups want to keep secret, there are demons, and angels, and people, interacting every day. Its a world within our world, a society within our society. I’ve learned how to control my senses, so I act “normal”…but I know the truth. Every day there are physical struggles between the things that go bump in the night, and the ones who keep them at bay. I met one of them, a “protector”. He told me his story. He was ex-army, I was reluctant to tell him what I knew was out there. But I eventually did and he said he knew the truth too, he said hes seen things that aren’t meant to be real. Now he finds them, fights them, kills them. He taught me, more book learning than hands on experience, but still, the information hes gifted me with is invaluable. This is my story, how I went from ordinary kid, to a protector…how I became, the Ender.
