Please advise me get the proper upgrade for my PC.

At present my harddrive is almost full and find it too slow
when editing pictures and editing short videos.

My desire is to get the minimum upgrade to be to
edit videos (say up 2 30 minutes in length at least)
using Premiere. Below is my PC’s specs.

AMD Sempron 2200+
1.49 Ghz
512 RAM
80 Gb hard drive: ST380011A
NVIDIA GeForce4MX 440

System:
Windows XP
Professional
Version 2002
Service Pack 2

Any input will truly help.
Thanks.

just ask a geek to set u up with a computer, but one that you have to build, not a prebuilt one. it will cost u just as much as a pre built one.

Is this computer you got built?if so
buy another hard drive but keep the 80gig Hard drive as your main drive
If you have DDR RAM and want to upgrade you will need a new motherboard CPU and RAM
but if space is the issue , another hard drive will do you good.

If that’s all you want to do, than just upgrade your ram to 2 gigs,if your computer handles it, most likely SDRAM, ideally though DDR2. If you also updrade the graphics to atleast a ATI 1600 XT, you’ll be fine.

Those are the things that jumped out to me, as well.

You need more memory (2 gigs would probably be minimum)
and a better graphics card (the best one that you can afford.)

Video takes up a lot of space, so you’ll need to find a place for that as well, whether it be another hard drive, or burning DVDs…
